Thank you. I just need to learn how to use them now. These machines are Miss Nellie Bell and Miss Neva Jane. Nellie was the name of the woman's grandmother that I got the machine from and Miss Neva was my mother-in-law. Kathie
Kathie Your machines are beautiful! Love the 7 drawer Singer cabinet.
Thank you. Miss Nellie Bell is my favorite. Kathie

ladies asked me if it was a toy. I guess she'd never seen one before.
I thought the first one I ever saw was a toy, too. They are tiny...

From what I can read, the US gave Japan the rights to copy the Singer 15 as part of the Marshall Plan, and the market here was flooded with many high quality machines that were produced in Japan and badged here with various names. I have several that have different names on them. Yours is very pretty. Usually Billy chimes in that the Japanese 15's are better than the Singer that was made in the US. Not speaking for him, but just repeating what he has said on this board.I can't wait to here what the expert says though, because yours clearly says made in Taiwan on the edge if I am not mistaken.

If you look up the Singer model 15 you'll see that your machine was modeled after it. Singer did not make machines for other companies, so Singer did not make your machine. It's probably a great machine, tho. These are still being made in some foreign countries today, I believe.

I can see why she thought it was a toy - they are so little and cute! I hope I find a tan one too some day! I want one to leave to each granddaughter when I go - hopefully by then -- they will be worth even more!

Very nice Model 15 type machine! Not a Singer, though, but looks like the Taiwan's tried to copy a 15. Really nice decals. I wondered it that machine is old or a repro newer model? Billy or Miz Johnny is that one of the newer repros? It has Deluxe Sewing Machine on top?

About a month ago I bought a box of old sewing machine attachments from various machines. Inside the box was a container of unused sewing machine needles that were marked Eldridge.
On Friday I came home from work to find my DH grinning and dragging me into the garage. He bought me the machine that goes with the needles!!!! He found this machine and just decided I needed another one and remembered about the needles. What a guy.
The machine is all there and just needs some TLC to get her up and treadling.
