Join the Necchi sewing machine club Yahoo group and there is a lot of info on there. They also have a list of the members machines and have some dates with them. There are some manuals to download also if you don't have one.
What models do you have?
Judy
Judy; Thanks. I had no idea there was a Necchi group on Yahoo. One is a Necchi BU and the other just says Necchi.

Elsie if you are talking to Nancy, there are several Davis Vertical Feed Treadles pictured here! These treadles do not have feed dogs, they walk the fabric with the foot!

Mine page 474
Randa page 533
Trish page 519 & 585
Monica page 585 & 554
Tomilu page 593

Enjoy, Nancy

Anyone else here have a Davis VF not mentioned? Glenn don't you have one? What page are they on?
I have a Davis VF picture on here somewhere but I can't remember what page it's on. More of the CRS affliction........

I fell for the Vickers! That is a machine I would love to have! Thanks for the link!!
Oh... my, those are some machines! Now I'll have to keep my eagle eyes out for those....
There is a Vickers machine on sale in my area. I had never heard of the brand before. It's not quite as ornate as the one in the link, but it is still pretty. Here it is:http://lethbridge.kijiji.ca/c-buy-an...AdIdZ222970117
Oh, man, If I lived closer to that machine it would be mine. Work or not. It is so cool!

I am not an expert by any means. But I would guess that the bottom one was for shoe making just by the way there is no "bed" so it can reach into small places.

Cherrybsixty, nice to have you back! What did you loose in a house fire?

Nancy
No, no, Nancy that fire was years ago at my late sister's house. At the time I was storing my ancient Singer. I can't recall what model it was now. All I knew at that time was it was a black head Singer. It was an eMachine. All we ever owned in our family were Singers. I gave up my house b/c it was too much to keep up being a widow and an empty-nester.
