For a machine that old, it has great decals!

lee231 - nice find. Thought you would like to know that what you have there is a 15 not a 99.
This is a good blog post to learn how to identify vintage Singers by their silhouette:

You tighten or loosen it to change stitch length.

Well, the head is not bad, but does have some crazing on the bed close to the throat plate. It has 3 extra feet and some needles. It is now at my house waiting for it's new owner to come pick it up.

That's a better deal than the one that I found for $35.00
Those are soo cute. I truly have been bitten by the V bug. Today was my last day of work. So much more
time for rummaging around!

What to do??? very sad.

That machine won't take a class 15 bobbin. I have a manual for a Kenmore similar to yours (The stitch control is horizontal rather than vertical) with pictures of the bobbin and bobbin case and attachments. Would you like to have it?

If you could take a pic of the bobbin case/bobbin, I may have one.

This is a pic of the bobbin being loaded. I hope you can determine the case from this.

It looks like a White FR case. I would try that first.

Nancy what is ringbone? Kathie[/quote]

Ringbone in horses is basically debilitating arthritis of the fetlock joint. He has a very hard time maneuvering with high and low ringbone, but he is very stoical and just keeps going.
