I believe this is a full size 27K made in 1906. It is a nice one.

I sure do wish I lived closer. I would be calling the #. I am like you, the location of the machine is great. Beautiful old sewing table.

Kathie, the key word here is "dealer." He is trying to sell machines so he is not going to tell you the truth about the vintage ladies/gents. When I first read this, I was really surprised because I was thinking "repairman" not "dealer." Then I re-read it and realized what you said. I would only go to this "dealer" if you know he has what you want and not even talk to him about the vintage/antique machines. Most "repairmen" know and appreciate the old machines. I remember when I gave my Mother a new Pfaff to replace her 130. She took the 130 to a sewing repair shop to get it serviced for the first time in almost 60 years and that 'repairman' told her to take that machine home and use it! He said those old machines are like an old friend - they will never let you down! She gave me back the new machine and went back to using her 1952 Pfaff 130, who had never had a problem the whole time she had that machine - and she sewed almost daily all her life!

I bought a cabinet exactly like this one with a really pristine Lotus in the cabinet for my BF last year. I loved that cabinet, so compact yet very pretty too! I have been looking for a lotus in a cabinet like the one I bought for her ever since then, and cannot find one anywhere near as nice as the one I gave my BF. I had promised her I'd find her a nice 66 after she saw my Redeye! She ended up with the best decals I have ever seen on a Lotus instead of the Redeye - but, WOW was she happy.

I do! I am always scooting to the left with one leg on the left of the table leg (unless treadling) so that I am facing the needle straight on! This DOES look like the machine is placed nicely in the cabinet.

Bennett, according to Singer's records that is a 27, but I thought that the Victorian Decal was only used on the 28's? We need to see the measurements of that machine! There are a few mistakes in the Singer records and I am wondering if this is not one of them? That sure looks like a 28, but I couldn't be sure without measuring it or comparing it to a full sized 27!
