Sure, Charlee!! I know you'd do the same for me!

Celeste, who would want to pay $50 for a chain stitch machine for display only? Wow....that one is puzzling!!

Those repos may look like the original but it ends there. I paid $300 8 years ago. It never was right. It rattled and strained, couldn't adjust the tension. The tension assembly actually fell off. Maybe they can make the parts but they can't train the technicians who fiddled and filed and adjusted the old ones. My brother sold it for me for $60.

Redmatter, which repro did you get? A repro of the FW or a repro treadle? You know there is no way those repro's were made as well as the original. The cost of making an all metal machine with the engineering of the original design would not make it feasible. They 'look' similar, but that is where the reproduction part stops.

Ok all of you in the know, is there a chain stitch attachment for Singer's models 127, VS2, 28, 15, or 66? What about the Free, or Two Spools, or Davis, or Wheeler & Wilson, or Hales Crescent treadles? I would love to get a chain stitch attachment without having to buy another treadle, although, I would buy another one if it had that attachment with it!

Sorry, that is a 1960 Spartan is great shape, except it is missing the case as it came in a cabinet that I didn't want! We have the cabinet in the sewing unit if anyone wants it - it would be free - it is useable, but not in the best of shape!

The blackout is just for today (Jan. 18), I believe. *I just noticed that you can click on a link at the bottom of the blackout page to take you to your local CL, so it's not totally down.*
