Joe,
According to this website your Franklin was made by Domestic.
go to: www.kelsew.info/Domestic/domesticmodelsnolinks.html
I hope it will show up as a link. Go to the 5th machine picture from the BOTTOM of the page and it shows your machine.
Hope this clears it up, Judy[/QUOTE]

Judy,

Thanks for the link. It settled this question right quick.

Joe

There is a 360 available but I do not like their price. I much prefer what you got for $50 plus the cool sewing box.

I didn't say I paid $50 for it.

I'm not familiar with this model, but my next step will be likely removing the embroidery device and cleaning and degunking under it. From what I've gleaned in my research the slight zig zag is a symptom of grease or gunk collecting and keeping the needle bar from locking in place. And at least in my model, it's not visible or reachable without removing the embroidery system. Although I oiled and used heat, it's likely not getting into the right spot. At least, this is what I'm hoping to find. But that will be the first step in trying to fix it. Are you a member of the vintage Pfaff group? If you don't like to tinker, it will need servicing to correct the problem.

I know there is a foot and plate for a serger, bobbins, for other machines.
A lot of the paint is just flat gone, what is left on the bed is bubbled like heat was applied.
I was surprised it turns by hand. I might try to make a reverse button if I knew how it attaches, and engages. I’ll try to look at some drawings. I am so far behind... And I stay on this computer!

Am I crazy?

There was an ad posted on the local CL for someone that wanted to rent a sewing machine for the summer... I saw it a couple of times, thought about it, and then answered it.
She's a young woman, just graduated from college that's accepted a temporary position locally for the summer. I'm going to LOAN her my 328K, with a fully refundable deposit when I get the machine back.

I'm a bit nervous about it....I like this machine....a LOT! I also understand tho, what it's like to want to be able to sew and have nothing to use.

It's ugly. Ms Kaki had the suggestion of painting the the top cover cream, since there is no way to match the pink. sews nice, has cams and everything, I just sort of....don't love it.

What a blessing you are to her. [That makes you NOT crazy!]
May you doubly be blessed when she returns it.
