Charlee, that Redeye looks really nice. My one regret with all my machines is that I don't have any of my 66's in a cabinet in the house so I can sew with one! I have never actually sewn on a 66 except to make sure they work! My redeye's cabinet is in line for restoration out in my little sewing machine museum!

Elaine and I had a very good trip to Indy and the visit with Miriam was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed it. I could have spent all day in her shop / and storage house and not seen all that was there. I "think" we might have been able to squeeze another portable machine into the Pathfinder, and maybe the rocking chair. The Pathfinder just isn't big enough.
I told Elaine that the next trip we take her pick up. Much more room under the camper

Quiet day! Not that I contributed anything. I did pin a quilt. I hate basting, of all kinds, all methods, and all types. I think I've tried every possible way. While i was looking for ways to procrastinate, i notice I have 4 machines that have been cleaned and oiled, but not sewn out to see if they really are done. So, maybe I'll do that tomorrow. I'm afraid i won't have enough machines to work on for my Ray White class. Perhaps I will have to "borrow" from Miz Kaki.... Laura

Hey, if you move to Indy, be sure to look for a house with a basement. I grew up there and EVERY house I lived in had a basement and we never had water in them...they do exist and after all, you gotta have someplace to store all the junk you collect if you are a real junker. I had to sell all my junk when I moved to FL where supposedly there are no basements (high water table) and 2 out of the 3 houses I have owned have had basements and NO water ever in them. You have to find a house that was built by a builder that knows how to do a good basement. Now, I'm working on replenishing my junk supply.

As far as basements go you haven't lived until you have had to clean one out after it set in water with a hoard in it... We keep a sump pump with a back up for ourselves. We are talking OLD house not one of the new ones. I don't think there are that many newer houses in the city limits. Joe is a big tease. It's ok if he wants to buy some more stuff, including that old rocking chair... I do rather have a lot of stuff in that place. The rule is you can come but don't post pics of it... Sorry Joe.

Hahaha - well, I live in Northeast Ohio near the lake so I understand your feelings about basements. Most basements in this area get wet to say the least, but we do have bi-levels and people finish their basements so it's possible to have a dry basement around here...if you've got the cash to make it so. We don't have a basement but have a crawl space, and though I don't miss spiders and wet corners I DO miss space to stash my junk. I'm a junker who goes through a clutter free period about every three years to clear out my hoard. I have always teased my Husband, "I'm just one tragic life event from being on hoarders..." You know how they always say things on that show like, "Momma always did like to collect things...then Daddy died and she stopped taking out the garbage...and that was thirty years ago."
