Well everyone, my new Pfaff 230 came yesterday! As usual Miriam packed that machine so well it could have been dropped from a high rise! I had a time cutting the machine out of the packing, bubble wrap, styrofoam!

Miriam, the machine arrived in perfect condition! I will take photos as soon as I can of both my new Pfaff 230, and Pfaff 360! The 230 came with attachments, the stitch wheel, everything it needs. My 360 came with nothing but the case! Geeze, does that machine need a stitch wheel too? I haven't had a chance to really look at the machine because I have not shown it to hubby yet!

If you guys want to purchase a machine that has to be shipped - get it from Miriam! She is the best at packing those things! These Pfaff's weigh close to 45 pounds each! Thank you Miriam!

Stitch wheel was included. The accessories are to rave about. The manual was even there but very fragile. I hope you can get the machine to do the decorative stitches. It might need a bit of work - a challenge for you Nancy - maybe Ray White's class will be in your future.

More measurements...this was an interesting adventure!

I took a piece of paper and went around to all my machines. Lined the edge up against the machine and dropped the needle, wrote the name of the machine next to the needle hole. It was interesting to see how they compare.

You already had most of mine.

White Rotary 8 1/8
Franklin treadle 8 Same as my Singer 66
New Home Light Running treadle 7 7/8 Same as the NH AC
Minnehaha by National 7 3/4
Necchi BU Supernova 7 1/4
Kenmore 158.523 7
DeLuxe Emporium 7

And my current every day machine is a Kenmore with a throat space of a measly 6 1/8 inches. I never really thought of how little space there is there.

Boy do I wish I lived closer. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. I can't resist those really old ladies and gentlemen.

Same here. Yes, I live closer than you do but that's still quite the drive. Looks like an incredible deal, though.

Where in Wisconsin do you live? I was born in Madison while my dad was in grad school.

We moved out here to Waupun a few years ago to escape the dreary winters around Caroline S's place. Just try telling people that you moved to Wisconsin for better winter weather, though, and they think you're nuts

Great price! I would pounce on that without a moment's hesitation.
