If you download a kindle app to your computer it should work.

Nanna here's how:
Go into your amazon account, put the book in your cart. It brings you to a screen that says "deliver to", click on your kindle. THEN, click on Continue. The next screen thanks you and also gives you a choice to deliver it to another device. Hit the arrow to the right and it will show you a drop down menu of choices. I loaded this book on my Kindle, my iPhone and my Windows 8 on my computer. Cool, huh?

PS: if you have a Kindle app on your computer I believe you can pick your computer as your first choice to download. I have Windows 8 but I do recall seeing Windows 7 on there also as a choice. Hope it works for you.
