Hi All,

I've been having a wonderful browsing though all the pics of beautiful machines here this morning.

Here's my humble collection.

Domestic 153 I picked up at Goodwill last week. She's a bit gummy, but runs. I'll be studying Billy's tute on cleaning....I've already taken her out of the cabinet which needs a total refinishing job.

I'm thrilled with all the attachments and the original book too!

And the already partially disassembled cabinet. The finish was so damaged, but the cabinet itself is pretty solid. I've started stripping it and will post that project later.

Next is my Singer 66-16. She came to me from a friend of my daughter's. The wiring was down right scary, and the belt was bad. I replace those and she's good to go.

Here's the 66-16 Cabinet

The book and attachments.

And a few more shots of her. I know she's not as fancy as a lot of the machines here, but I love her!

And last (for now), My Singer 185K made in Kilbowie Clydebank Scotland in 1960. I took her in to my LQS for a quick servicing and adjustment after I got her last month, and she's purring like a kitten.

Thought I'd share the before and after of the Singer 66 Red Eye that I got a few weeks ago. SN G784285, allotted Oct. 5, 1910 in Elizabeth, NJ. She was left in a house by the previous owners. I was finally able to get out yesterday and get her insides bathed. (Thanks for the detailed tutorials Billy!!) All she needs is a belt to complete her outfit. :) Looks nice in the treadle cabinet too.

She had a back clamp foot, so I changed out the presser bar from a really rough VS2 that I have. It took a little fiddling, but It seems to work okay, even if the "new" foot doesn't quite fit over the feed dogs.

Before, dusty and a bit rusty

After, shiny and ready to go

Here's my latest, a Singer 115 with gold Wing decals. It's a 1920's model and is just amazing. It's in my Dh's aunt's parlor cabinet which we were blessed with in April. Sews like a dream!

Thanks, it was neat to see the change.

Love the decals on your 115. I hadn't heard of that model and had to look it up. I learn something new every time I visit here.

Here are pics of my new 15-75 and what came with it. The book to the darning/emb attachment are all stuck together. The FW books are not very good. One is useless with pages stuck together and the other has water-stained pages. Does anyone know how to separate the pages safely?
