This machine was made in France and came with a manual that was copyright 1980. The foot pedal and manual are stored in the slide out peace with the thread diagram on it. It weighs about 12 pounds I'm guessing and is mostly plastic but the free arm is metal.
I have a Genie 353, my son claimed it for himself. Its a nice little machine, but weighs in at 20#.

I cleaned up most of the head components for my Wheeler Wilson #10 this weekend.

This machine spins SOOOOO smoothly, it is hard to remember that it was once rusted solid.

Default Kenmore Question

Could someone tell me how to use the zig zag on this machine? I see the knob but can't figure out how to move it and keep it in one spot. Thank you. This sews quietly and smoothly but I do need the zig zag. I am out to sew so will be back shortly to see if someone can help me on this. Thanks again.

those fiddle bases are so cool, you never see them around where I live. If I ever find one for a decent price, I'll snatch it up just to have a piece of sewing history.

What a coincidence! I snatched this one today. It's my second VS2 fiddle. A real beauty, and I love the fiddle bases too.
