No worries, I'm not throwing it out! I bought it for me. Just wasn't sure if it was worth putting a bunch of money into repairs.
I'll try those tips for getting the broken spool holder out. Also, I think I am going to buy some cute washi tape to tape the broken housing - it will look like a bandaid!

It looks so much better cleaned up. I'm glad I took before photos thought, because I accidentally "cleaned" off the red ink with the date stamp. uh-oh!
Now to try to drill out the spool holders without cracking the entire housing!
