Default Vintage Singer

Last week I was in a quaint little shop and was looking at a sturdy but dusty and scratched table. When I got to looking at it I found it housed a vintage singer machine. I had to leave it for a few days as it would not fit in my car. Got it home finally and had my husband leave it outside so I could clean it. The machine had about half inch of dust. It all cleaned up very nicely and it runs great. Here are some pictures. I found the same machine on ebay in much worse shape, and with rust. They were asking 399. I scored mine for 30. Doing a happy dance.
Oh it is a 1948 model 15

What a find! That cabinet is beautiful. My Sarah is a 1941 15 and does all my quilting projects.

Very nice machine! I think my 15-90 is one of my favorites.

That's a very nice 15-91 you found. Check the wiring very carefully, as it is old. That series of Singer 15s are my favorite machines to sew on. Never have had even a hiccup from mine.

Thanks Cathy, I do plan on doing some rewiring as the outer cover on the cord is very brittle.
