Saturday, I picked up a vintage White sewing machine for $75. From what I can tell the serial number is 1X774, which I think means it was made in the mid-late 1920's. It's in a cabinet, with a case full of attachments. HELP! How do I clean/oil it? How do I take the bobbin out, fill and load it? Are there ANY manuals out there ANYWHERE about this really cool machine???

I think I got a good deal, even if it is just a display item, but I was told it is operational. Anybody???

nice old machine, has back clamps attachments. I like your cabinet and I have never seen drawers like those before. I lloks like an embossed white, does she work?

love the drawers in that cabinet! I've never seen that! I have 4 whites, one in a martha washington, but the other three in cases. I love the embossed one but don't have it...yet! Let me know how she works!

Teri, you have a White Rotary Electric Crinkle Embossed Black machine. I have one just like it. You are lucky to get the machine complete - parts are hard to find for that machine. Here is a manual you can download for free. That machine is a little tricky to thread - it will take a little practice to figure it out, but with the manual you can get it going. The bobbins are different from any Singer bobbins, and they load differently. My machine is a 1931 model.
