Default What machine is this?

This one always throws me. When I first see the photo, I think it's a black 301 and I get excited. Then, when I find out what it is, the air goes out. This time, I promise to write it down.

Maybe a 301? Looks like one Bonnie hunter uses often but she has many.

It's a Singer 306. It uses cams for fancy stitches; they attach to the silver knob on the front (above the Singer emblem). It takes a slightly shorter needle the the "normal" 15x1, but many people like them despite that.

Thanks, I'm saving the photo with the correct ID.

Good idea to keep pictures with IDs. I would add a note that the 319 looks very similar, but has "typewriter keys" on top by the hand wheel for some built-in stitches.

Thanks, Jennifer. I've had a 319, so I recognize it. I passed it on to someone who would appreciate it. I'm looking for a 301, hopefully a black one. I'd take a beige one, though. I'm not yearnng enough to buy one and ship it, though.
