Default What model Singer is this? Looks like a 301, but...

... it seems to be missing the little flappy-do (like a Featherweight) for the extension table. Wouldn't pay $150 for it, but it looks like a nice machine.

Hi - I know it looks like a 301, but I don't think it is. They didn't come with that kind of box base. Some of the early 300 series machines looked similar...but I don't think it's a 301.

No...it doesn't look like a 301 because it's a 4 series. It's a 404 which is a straight stitch only machine.

Ah hah, thank you both! It looked a little too modern to be a 301. Ah well, I'll bide my time and wait for some unsuspecting soul to offer their up in my area. Thanks!

I have a 301 and a 400 series and it is like the 400 series. The 301 is smaller.

It's a 404 . Straight stitch only version of 401. Great machine.

It looks similar to one that I gave to my GD's only it's green. I believe theirs is a 301. Can't say about this one.

I think it is a Singer 327. My sister purchased one this summer at a thrift store in Washington. Just this week I cleaned, washed and oiled it. I only tried using it on a note card and it seems to work fine. Paid $15.00

People are not reading this thread. It's a 404, which has been stated twice.
