Fashion Mate 237
Wanted to share a pic of the Singer Fashion Mate 237 I picked up at Goodwill yesterday for $15.00. Like new, not a scratch on it. Needed some oil but otherwise perfect. All metal gears, only plastic is cosmetic. Sews like a dream. Even the case is like new. Sorry, can't see the nice stitches in this picture.

I must like them - I bought five of them -
GD has one,
DD has one,
I have two,
and I gave one away.
Yours looks great!
The only things I actively dislike about the machine are:
The power cord can't be unplugged (on the other hand, can't lose it!) and the thread spindles are unimpressive.

I have a 252 Fashion Mate. I like mine really well.
Is 12 machines enough? Not! That is right. I bought others after 12 too!! Then I traded some and bought others... it is an addiction or we can say it is a "lifestyle" and seem more normal (whatever normal is).
