Default What is it?

So, what can anyone tell me about this machine? All metal? Box says Japan. Standard Sewing Equipment. I have not seen the machine in person, just the pic.

Saw one of these in thrift store and all that was there was the power pedal. No manual, attachments. Can't read the model number but if you know what it is and can reach the owner, maybe Google or manual may have more information or on bottom of machine.

Model number is 6400. I can get not one but two still in box, never opened, except for one box to take pics. I have googled all sorts of ways but nothing. Standard sewing equipment was a badger of machines and these were sent from Japan to them but seem to not have gotten badged.

You can see holes on right of above 6400 where Badge would go. Found out the person has an entire storage unit full with lots still in box. He/She is starting to list locally four or five at a time for 25 to 65 bucks. Here is another one for example. Notice the badge never got put on. There are doubles so one is opened for pics but other ones of same still sealed boxes. So what is this machine?

Wow, so he has a pile of brand new vintage machines? Are you going to jump on that?

no. Maybe just one. Cash poor. However, I do think some here may be interested in seeing if there is a machine they are seeking in that storage unit and want to inquire to the person. I do not know if willing to crate and ship. I could help with that. Would be a pay it forward gesture for me. And if anyone bought bulk I would not say no to being gifted one of the machines from the deal. Email me.

Looks a bit like some of the old Brother machines.
