What a cool machine, thanks for posting! and congratulations- who would have thought they would use glass for the feet? Guess it makes sense as there probably was not any clear plastic back then!

The glass foot is slightly crunched where the needle has missed the hole. I'd love to sew with it and not harm it further. The glass foot was invented for the No. 8, but was still issued with the No. 9. Question: Was a glass foot sold with the Singer "Wheeler & Wilson" after 1904?

Yep, a beaut! The photos were taken with my crappy cell phone camera. Better pictures later when I clean her up. I'm going to go slowly and carefully, thanks to Billy's tutorial. (Besides, the LaVincendora is still in pieces -- this is all too much, too fast. Ain't life on the internets sweet?)

No Singer did not use the Glass feet that I know of. Singer used up what stock that they had after the acquisition but then started casting the 9W to fit their cabinets and needs. It was a short run machine and few examples are out there, I am still trying to find one of the left over Singer 9W but that will be a fun one to find.
