Default white dressmaster

Hi, I am new to this site so not sure how this works. I have a White Dressmaster 127 that needs a foot control. It is very worn and needs replacement. I have looked here in Pensacola and also on line with no luck. It was given to me at thirteen by my grandmother so it is very special. So I am putting it out there in case someone has one that they no longer use and would be willing to sell the foot pedal. Thank you,
Fran

Howdy from Texas & welcome to the board. This is a friendly, helpful place to come for fun & relaxation.

It would help if you had a model # and/or serial # of your machine. This site might help you with parts.
I just did a web search on White Dressmaster 127 replacement parts & several places came up.

Usually you can buy a foot pedal and wire the existing cord into it. Unless the machine is new enough to have electronics (1970's and newer) then the pedal may be very specific.

A picture of the machine would be helpful, to determine if it's badged Japanese made machine (made after White stopped producing them in the US). That is most likely, unless you are long retired!

This is a old thread, but may show pics of a similar machine and a controller and maybe the electrical connection.

Any generic pedal should work with your machine, since there's no electronic parts involved, just the regulating the flow of electricity to the motor. These old pedals can often be sorted out and repaired if they are still working, rewiring is easy, and sometimes you only need to tighten a spring or nut if something is loose.

Welcome, Fran.
I'm wondering if you want to keep it original since this has sentimental value to you. If this is the case, a picture of the foot pedal and the connections would help.
I've been known to pick up orphaned foot controllers at the thrift store.

Hello! I am super new here and actually found it because I am investigating anything about this machine I acquired through a yardsale. I love vintage machines and actually started sewing on a 1955 Singer 99k about 7 years ago. Now I jumped on this machine - White Dressmaster rotary 127. I want to restore it and use it. I want to do this myself but I have no clue how so I am looking for any and all information I can. Ok so here is the description and pictures: It came with its own cabinet. It has a knee controller (if that is what it is called). Its electric and the cord seems pretty chewed up. It definitely has its rusty parts but I can move the wheel and the needle goes up and down. I would love to know what year it is from and how I can get a manual for it. I read somewhere here on the forum dated 2012 or so where there was a discussion and someone had a pdf version. Anyway here are the pictures:
Ok.. I am having trouble uploading the rest of the pictures. At least the model number is here. I will try in a different post
Thanks
