Default Why I love vintage machine!

My cousin was here when my new to me machine (no name yet) came and she asked why I HAD TO have this machine------my answer, " she is blue!" Sounded perfectly reasonable to me.

She's as blue as a robin's egg in the spring. I bought my 185J because she was green, seems perfectly logical to me!

I have this same machine, purchased in 1967. It was a good workhorse and friend. It also zig zags and has reverse. Mine makes the most beautiful satin stitch, better than the new machines. I wouldn't possibly part with it, even now.
It is a pretty good piecer. Bobbins are plastic and obtainable at all the fabric departments. Enjoy.

I think being blue is a perfectly acceptable reason. Like my green 185J and my hopefully to get soon a Ruby Red "something"!! After all color is what makes us feel good, right???
