Default Willcox & Gibbs Update

A couple of weeks ago I was drooling over a Willcox & Gibbs chain stitch treadle machine a hundred miles away in Prescott AZ. I am back in Prescott today, and am now the proud owner of this beautiful machine. He was asking $285 but was willing to take $220 cash. Pictures to come, but it's in great shape with a walnut cabinet. We took it out of the cabinet for safe travel and I've been carrying my "new baby" around the house with me. Soooooooo excited!

Congrats. You could make a baby backpack for your new one (papoose?) and be hands free. Does she have a name yet?

Her name is Gracie, after one of my favorite authors, Grace Livingston Hill. It looks like she was born in 1888, and she's in pretty good shape for her advanced age! Here's a picture of her out of the cabinet. She's a B machine with a scalloped base. Pretty darn cute!
