My sewing machine repairman has the reproduction featherweight and as far as I can see by looking at it side by side with an original featherweight the only difference is the singer name. Rick explained to me that singer sold the rights to the featherweight machine to this company and he actually advised me to buy the reproduction so I could have the warranty, but if I'm going to have a featherweight I want an original. :) :) That's just me, though Rick assured me there is absolutely NO difference in the quality of the machines. I don't own either one but do have dreams of "someday" I will be more than happy to give anyone who wants Rick's number so you can call him yourself, just ask.
