My version of the blocks should have finished at 8 1/2 inches but are about 8 3/8 due to all the seams i think. I pressed the seams open on the black one and it seems to lay flatter. The name of this pattern is dance of the dragonflies at southwindsquilts.com if you didn't see the post -do you know this dragonfly pattern.
