Default 1872 Buttonhole Cutter (aka Grandma's little shank....)

Saw this in a listing and since i had not seen one with so much decoration, I went ahead and finally added one of these to the buttonhole cutter collection.

First of all she cleaned up REAL nice

The patent date is clear and crisp

and Boy Howdy!!!! when I opened it up I was surprised and how lethal looking this little beastie was...
(my DD coined the phrase "Grandma's little shank")

The idea here is you move the slider to the number/size you want and then push the blade through the fabric until the little folded back portions hit the fabric.

This thing is still razor sharp....
