At my age now I refuse to be uncomfortable. I cut back on heat and no a/c when I was younger.
I keep it about 72-74 in winter, 64-68 in summer.
I also have small dogs and most of all my Cockatiel needs warmth, my cats prefer warmth too.
I use an electric heater for the bird.
