This is interesting! Until about 10 years ago, when I moved from Europe to Asia, I didn't even know there's more than one kind of cinnamon... Now, reading those articles and learning about the differences, it's Ceylon cinnamon that I was raised on. Then, in Asia, I found that cinnamon tasted differently, somewhat stronger and not exactly to my liking... That obviously was Cassia cinnamon. Because I much prefer the taste of Ceylon, I used to ask my mom to send me some from Europe! Now I learn that it's supposedly the healthier one, too. However, if I understand it right you would need to eat cinnamon by the teaspoon to really damage the liver, so I would not be too concerned if Cassia would be all I had.
