Actually, it's worse than that. We sent something to friends in NY as a joke from our cottage in CDN. It needed to travel less than 100 miles. We happen to run into them about a month later (we live 2 hours apart so this was pretty incredible) and asked how they liked the package. They hadn't received it yet.
It was delivered a few weeks later. And the cost wasn't cheap. lol
If you want it in this lifetime, you may be better off getting in in the US.
