I've got to replace the brushes in my favorite old girl (15-91) and hope that fixes the problem. If not, I'm going to have to find a place to buy a reconditioned potted motor. That's got to wait for now, though - basting quilts first!
She's my old Dressmaker SS2402 - still don't know who made her, definitely not Singer, I've asked all the big companies, closest information I could find was she's somewhere around a 1975-76 and she's probably a Japan model. Have had her for a while, we've been around the block a few times together. Still have to find the light assembly, someone stole it before I had it and then find the cam set and she'll finally be a complete machine again. It's been slow and meticulous, but she's purring like a kitten. Love this machine to the moon and back!
