Default Am I threading this right?

I'm VERY new to sewing! Found this old machine in my family garage and trying to see what i can do with it.. Replaced the old pulley, cleaned and oiled all the moving parts, but now I can't figure out how to thread it! The way ive been doing it seems to put a lot of tension on the line and the machine is having trouble getting spinning. Once it does it will go for a bit with the thread on the needle but won't make any stitches - then the line eventually breaks and the machine keeps spinning just punching an empty needle through the fabric. Needless to say I think I'm doing it wrong and would appreciate if anyone can help me understand how to thread this. I've attached a photo with annotations to try and help demonstrate how ive been threading. Ill take the thread (blue line) and feed it through parts 1-5 (marked in red). Hopefully the labels help give you something to reference for my understanding.
