Default 1 April 2012 Calendar BOM Pattern & Discussion

Hi all, and Happy Spring. This is Jean and I have the distinct honor of picking April's pattern. I hope everyone will like it and try the applique. I'm in Oklahoma and Spring has hit - a wee bit early for me as far as the heat is concerned! We're supposed to be 90-92 tomorrow! But then a cool down, which is fine with me..;o) Cheryl hope it's ok that I went ahead and posted it.

Here is the pattern site:

I hope you won't have problems opening it, if so, holler. Hope you enjoy making this, I just wanted something 'Springy'..lol. and not to difficult. Here's the photo.. Enjoy.

Jean

I love the block. I hoped it would be applique. I have a fear of applique that I really really need to overcome and this is the push I need. I plan to do needle turn applique for this block. I think I will use a light green background...

Thank you Jean, it's a great block! I think I have a tulip print somewhere in my stash, will have to go dig it out for this.

Hi Jean, The fabric that you chose makes the block appear more delicate and feminine than the original. It's gorgeous!
