Default 2014 October Piece & Cut BOM

Here is this month's BOM

This is one of my designs. It uses my Boston Blocks and HSTs.

The layout of the blocks

You will need to make:

HSTs - http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...ks-t37915.html

4- of this one.....16 of this one.....4 of this one
.... ....
Edit per member "Boston Block = the green one should be 8 of these instead of 4"

Now here is the Quilt block broken down

It only looks complicated but it isn't.

The quilt block broken down into a 9 patch
I like to make 4 patches and set them into the 9 patch placing

The 4 patches broken down

You'll need to make 4 of this unit
.....

You'll need to make 4 of this unit
.....

You only need one of this unit as it is the center.
.....

So once you learn to make HSTs and my Boston Blocks you can easily sew these 4 patches into the quilt block.

You will need a template to make this.
I offer a 2 1/2" template for free. You can send me a pm with your postal address and I'll be happy to send you a template.

Template sizes:

You can use any size template you like.

To make your quilt block a different size you just need to use a different size template.

2 1/2" = 12 1/2" unfinished quilt block.

1 1/2" =6 1/2" unfinished quilt block
3 1/2" = 18 1/2" unfinshed quilt block.
4" = 21 1/2"
4 1/2" = 24 1/2"
5" 27 =1/2" and
5 1/2" = 30 1/2"

Your second Block is stunning. Love the colors ....
I think bigger blocks with sashing will make a great baby quilt! Stunning!

It's a really great block even for advanced quilters. I can see this with one other unique block for a stunning two block quilt.

thanks everyone. I love the 3D look. I've always loved optical illusions since I was a kid.
