I knew what leaders and enders are but could not figure out l/e. Hesitated to ask, but it was buggin' me. LOL Thanks for explaining.
Those blocks at the top & bottom were just leftovers from the 4 patches we made in the middles...I just used the rest of the strips to make 2 patches & added the white from the centers for the rest of the borders...I'm not crazy about square quilts. Just using up some of the scraps. I do that alot with quilts...also makes them just a bit longer. I thought they looked like they were flying around, too. I think it is due to just using the 2 solid colors instead of the 4 different colors. Anyway, I'm really pleased with it. Showed it at quilt guild for show 'n tell yesterday & everyone loved it. Thanks again Judy!

Just Jan, I think that's a great idea, to commit to finishing the last mystery before starting a new one. I was all ready to say, I'll commit to that, but then I remembered my mom saying, "don't make promises you can't keep", and I decided I'd better not. But, I AM going to finish it and quilt just like Judy did with a stitch in the ditch. Promise!

Vicki, Love your pastels and also your d9p. I've been trying to figure out the pattern. You must have done two nine patches in different colors??? I've not seen that one before.

Yes, 5 of 1 & 4 of the other. This is a very fast & easy one to do. Works for me!

Judy, I think you misunderstood. I meant to set the deadline/goal for finishing by the 29th, so we can start with a clean slate on the 30th. I find if I have a mental deadline I get things done. If not, I tend to get to it when I get to it, thus UFOs. I didn't mean anybody should miss the next train.

I am going to be back here later on today with my finished runner. Just need to sew down the binding and take a photo.

P.S. I love it.

DHanke: Bravo! That is an amazing finish!

VickiM: Can't stop looking at your quilt! Lovely colors, interesting borders with the colors and the scrappy squares is a delightful surprise ending!

Busy Fingers: Lovely finish!

I have my runner sandwiched and ready to quilt. Will take a pic when done. Hope to get it completed this weekend and be done in time for the next one. No more UFOs!!!

Great color combination Busy Fingers. I got mine all cut out, just need to take the time to sew down and sew it out.

Weather to be nice here in MN this weekend, so don't think I will be doing much sewing, got too much yard work to do and it would be nice to get an early start on that for a change.
