Thanks Jan and Judy for your opinions. I guess I will go with the black holly fabric. I don't remember where I got it. Sometimes I can get some really nice fabric at our local Hospice Thrift Store. That might be a piece I got there. I don't see any markings on the salvage. The light color I have with it is a cream but I might be able to find something a little darker. I will continue to look and post more pictures later. Thanks again! You guys are the best!

Klaws, thanks for looking. I remember seeing that fabric before but no idea where or when. I kept the pix and will keep watching ebay for it. I've been pretty lucky in the past finding stuff there. There is also a website where you can enter a pix of the fabric you want, but I don't know what it is. Maybe somebody here will know. Do you mind if I post your pix of it here in the 'searching for ' area of Quilting Board?

I took another picture with a different light color (although it really is a pinkish cream) and a lighter green. Now all I have to do is find a different red. Would these work?
Jan, you are more than welcome to use the picture and post in the "searching for" area of the QB.

Thanks for yor input Jan! I tried a gray first but the values all looked the same to me, I felt it need more contrast with the green and orange. Your idea about the directional print was brilliant! I'm just not going to worry about it, it will look great, especially because it's a whimsical print!

I like the new off white better. I think I like the old green better though. Its more muted and doesn't compete with the black print for your attention. Just my opinion, again. LOL Thanks, I'm going to go post for that fabric now.

The colors and fabrics I've seen for this trip are wonderful! We are still without electricity and may get it back this Sunday. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy watching and if life stops giving me lemons, I hope to join in. Judy's mysteries are always fun.

coopah, we are without power too and they say maybe Sunday. I've got some fabric picked but will follow for awhile and see how it goes when we get to FL the end of the month. We've got some repairs to do that comes first.
