Wow, looking at those points and if it's not perfect, I'd be hard pressed to say why it's not! Well done.

Love your black floral, too. Is it something recently purchased? If so and you don't mind, I'd love to know it's source. I am gathering florals with black backgrounds.

i wish i could help but i found the fabric in a box of fat quarters given to a friend of mine. most of the fabrics came from joann's ... purchased over the course of many years. that's probably where it came from, too.

this is the second go-round, using batiks. i have been making at least two of each block this year and will end up with two tops.

The batik colors are beautiful!
I am not doing the whole year of blocks but I saw this page and decided to try the block.
I had a lot of trouble with it.
Patrice....are there any hints you can give me?
I looked at the link to the instructions. Did you add the corner triangles to the windmill row before joining the the rows together?
I think my problem may be the diagonal of the triangle. The fabric must have stretched because that side had too much fullness when I tried to sew the rows together.
Thanks.

thanks for the compliment. i think paper piecing would make this block way more complicated that traditional piecing does.
