Very cute-reminds me of a table cloth my mom had when I was growing up.

And here's Dinah. She turned out too big, so I'll be cutting off the points when I sew her into the top. Oh!

Love how you got the arrow points in your block! I thought I was the only one with blocks of varying sizes; I'm thinking it's the patterns maybe?

Jan, I'm totally consistent with the size of seams. I carefully cut out the templates exactly down the middle of the dotted line. I don't know why sometimes the blocks are too small and sometimes too big. It's only happened on about 4 or 5, but still, out of 30 blocks that's a sizeable percentage. I don't really mind adding a bit on the smaller blocks, but I don't like to have a larger block where I know I'll have to sew across the points of the block to make the seam line size be consistent with my layout pattern.

I agree--I'm very careful with my seams and pressing. Majority are okay but a few of mine have turned out smaller, at 6 1/4" (unfinished) so it will be difficult to add a border. I guess I'll tackle that problem when I get to the sashing. Or I end up with a lot of mug rugs LOL.

Yes, the small ones are just a tad small, so adding a border on them all around, centering the block, will make a bulky seam all around. What I need to add is mainly to just create the proper seam allowance on the outer edge. I don't mind fudging in 1/8" but if it's more than that I prefer to add fabric. I've added fabric on only 2 sides on one block, rather than 4 sides, to help with the seam situation and it laid flat ok.

I'm not keen on mug rugs. I prefer to put unused blocks in a pile. I've made a top that way, just sewing together odd blocks I've collected. You can add fabric to smaller size blocks by setting them on point, then cut the result to the proper size to fit what you are sewing. Even with only 4 blocks, by the time you set them on point, and add a border or two, you've arrived to a baby size quilt top. :-)

Small blocks like this with so many seams are prime candidates for coming out a tad too small...IMHO..I like the baby quilt idea...

Here is #27 & #28. I see Dolly needs some repair, I'll take that seam out and re-do! LOL

The bottom little orange triangle is not centered! Did not notice it either until I posted it! Easy fix.
