Everyone's blocks are beautiful as usual. Whitepine, I think we are just nuts.

Default Missouri

Here is my Missouri, everyones posted so far are so pretty. It just imazes me how different they all look with the different colors. These are going to be absolutely gorgeous quilts. I have to start laying mine out to see what colors I need to bring out more. Wish I had a large design wall, but instead, I lay them on my bed, but have to put the dogs out, or one could block could sneek away unwillingly. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your blocks. Katie

Katie, your star is beautiful. I don't have a design wall either. Maybe I can if I ever get to move. I have to lay anything big on the floor and I can't leave it there very long. I have 2 dogs and a cat.

I have 3 dogs and a cat, and one of the dogs is a puppy, so nothing can be on the floor with her around. So that makes it difficult. I do have a 12" x18" that I made myself, and it will show on 12" or a couple little blocks, but nothing big enough to put all these stars on.

Love the colors in your block. It looks like a party or celebration and so it is!

Thank you Patricia. Katie, no more puppies for me. I think I might be to old to chase after them now.

Katie, Nice Missouri! I have been thinking like you, that now that we're halfway, it's time to look and see what colors need more or less use. Also, if I were thinking of changing the background, now might be the time.

I forgot the song for Missouri. St. Louis Blues, 1925, Bessie Smith and Louis Armstrong.

Yeah half way there. Time to start thinking about how I am going to put them together. I found a fabric I like to use for sashing, of course it has been out of production for years. There is none available anywhere. I have searched everywhere I guess I will have to pick out something else. Going to a smallish quilt show next week maybe I will find something there. Or I guess I have 6 months to think about it.
Awesome blocks everyone. I am waiting for a part for my printer so I can print out the block to make it. The part is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I got the 50 paper pieced stars book a couple of weeks ago and have been making a few stars at the beginning and a few at the point you are at. I have really enjoyed looking at all of your blocks. Here is my Missouri. All my blocks are 8.5".

Hooked, your block is beautiful. You are so brave to make them 8.5. Please post pics of your other ones too. We would all love to see them.
