Andrea, jump in! I too was thinking that some weeks, Ill be pressed for time and won't get my blocks finished(and I am doing it by machine) as summer is busy work and travel time for us, but I thought maybe in April or May, i'll start cutting my templates and getting things labeled in baggies, so at least I have some sort of ahead start..

Yes, Lesley, I look rather strange, so I keep that extra left hand hidden from view as much as possible! Actually, sometimes it gets in the way of my doing something, so I spend more time slapping it than working! :)

Leslie, everyone else has said 'gorgeous' about your blocks and I agree. I absolutely LOVE your color choices for your flowers.

Today I looked at 12 Kona colors for backgrounds and couldn't make up my mind. Since I want to use colors that go with the ones you used Leslie, it does look like black would be best....

...but then I stroll back to Elle's yellow with her color choices and I am back to square one again. Oh well.

Meanwhile I have several swaps and thingies to get done this month, so I guess I will just keep mulling it over in my mind and get my other quilting done. :-D

Hi to every one that has recently joined. Everyone is so nice on this project. They have certainly made me feel welcomed and I know you will find the same thing yourself. :-D

For those of you whose books haven't yet arrived, I think I would advise you to wait a little before agonising about colour schemes, especially as there is plenty of time to go.

Otherwise, try assembling some colours from your stash that you think you might use, and when you have a handful of them, try them out on different colours that could be backgrounds.

Auditioning this way might help you come to a decision, or at least decide whether to go for a dark background, or a light one. And don't forget, there is still plenty of time to change your mind too!

Plumber called earlier - they were making up their work orders for tomorrow. Did I still need them? Uh - YES!!!! So it looks like my days of hauling water are soon to be a thing of the past.

Slightly off topic (Since when is this something new for this group! :) ) I have attached a photo of the Production Leaders of the quilting program. These are the guys responsible for cutting out all the kits for the 200 Quilt Techs, sewing step 1 of the binding and generally acting as a go-between for the QTs & me. I am really proud of how hard they work. I chuckle when I look at this picture as they were trying to look "thug-like." Kind of hard for them.

Hah...funny Kathy...there are a few of them who couldn't even keep themselves from smiling! LOL! I'm soooo happy that your plumber is coming. Now...I need to know if you are Right or Left handed...that whole image is now stuck in my head and I think its gonna hurt!

Candi..I bought a few of those batiks that change color from side to side, therefore, I didn't have to get a whole ton of fabric to get a lot of colors that will all work well together for my autumn type colors. I'd have loved to have seen that almost olive green you saw today.

Linda..I've got some chickens waiting "in the wings" before I can get to these blocks too!

Thank you Leslie for the tip on how to interview fabrics. I will try that. I do have lots of yummy colors in my stash so I will begin there.

Kathy, what a great group. I admire the work you do with and for them and in turn the work they do. :-D
