Here are more of my blocks. I bought 5" batik squares at Hancock's of Paducah every time I passed through. They are perfect for applique.

No now its my turn she is using 5" batiks and squares to make her blocks. ;-)

Thanks for your comments. The design and colors attracted me to get the book. Aie Rossmann did a marvelous job.

No Patti, the pieces she is using are 5"squares to make up her blocks but I know her blocks are not 5" I assume 7" or 10".

Patti, I think she's cutting her applique pieces from 5" squares, not making a 5" block. At least that's what I think she meant.

My block is 7". I buy nickel squares of batik fabrics in sets of 25 or 30...all are different. I cut my shapes out of these squares to put onto my blocks.
