Hobbykat, what a great idea for the birds!!!! I never thought of that!! That's another reason I LOVE the QB!! We get so much inspiration from each other!!! Now I'll have to dig through my stash to see what I can find. If I don't have anything, gee, I guess I'll just have to buy some!!

Oh! I love it! Would you mind if I change my roof to yours?
Thanks Karen! Of course I don't mind. That is what sharing on the Board is all about. I used a pattern from Carol Doak's Foundation Factory software, but I had also found two on the web with PDF downloads at http://www.thequiltedsnail.com/ppieced.html.

Have fun! I am going to find another house to make!

Mine is done. This is such a cute block and simple too! I haven't sewn around the applique because I don't feel like changing my thread (some excuse!)

Such pretty fabric!!! I like the drk roof, I think I will do that also. I'm just starting to learn applique, and keep putting off starting mine. LOL

Your Spring Birdhouse turned out darling too!! Your quilt is going to be so nice. I love your idea of the other blocks that you are putting in your quilt. I am thinking of doing something very similar. Nice work.
