Patrice,
What a wonderful idea!! I plan to participate. Will the BOMs run for 12 months? Just wondering. Suzanne

Suz, go to the BOM thread, I think we'll be going at least a couple of years. LOL You're welcome to add your name to the list to choose a block.

Can't take credit for the BOM idea. Misty56 thought of it, got permission for us to do it, helped us come to a consensus about how we wanted to do it, and kickstarted us with the Blazing Arrows block for March.

Not my idea. Just my turn. But we are EXCITED to see you jump into the fun with us. Tell a friend!!!

Patrice, Not for sure if I can do the block this month. I broke my hand about 3 weeks ago and it is hard going. So if I can get my hand to work good enough I may just save it and make it later.

Misty 56,
Hope your hand heals quickly so you can get back to quilting. You inspired me to try new things.

Silly girl. You know we all want you to take care of yourself and your health first. you matter way more to us than any old blocks. [ok. we need another emoticon - one that hugs.]

those links and extra files aren't going anywhere. tomorrow, next week, next month, next year ... get to them when you feel up to it and post 'em whenever.

geez if i thought i absolutely HAD to make a block in the same month it was posted, i'd ... i'd ... i'd ... well i don't know WHAT i would do, but it wouldn't be fun.

Misty sorry to hear about the hand. Gosh, I know the frustration of trying to do anything onehanded! Have broken my wrists, (NOT at the same time, thank goodness) and it's a fit to get a shower, wash hair, etc.

Don't take chances, all things sewing will wait, get covered with dust, and wash up fine to work out another day!

I am lost. :( I don't understand the BOM. I looked at the rules, but does not really explain. I understand signing up and picking a block but that is all. I missed this intirely somehow. (I was away for a couple of weeks) Can someone explain to me how it works and what we do. Then I'll join up. Don't want to join and mess up.

Hi Donna Rae!
Here's a link to the basics that Boo put out for us: http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/841.page
We started the BOM last month with Misty's choice of pattern, Blazing Arrows (http://www.quilterscache.com/B/BlazingArrowsBlock.html )
This month, #2 on the list, Patrice, picked the block. We're all taking turns picking the block, in the order we joined...so I'll get to pick which block we'll do in about a year & a half since I'm #19! But you don't have to join the list to make a block, only if you want a chance to pick one to do.
Does this help?
