RW - If I paper piece mine, will my points look that awesome???? Your blocks are beautiful! I love paper piecing, I'll have to do some on the next blocks.

JAGSW - I love your red, white and blue block #2. I would never think to even try that color conbination and it looks so pretty.

Pookie - Your number 2 blocks is wonderful. I tried lining up lines on the Bat Wings block and it is now in the trash, that is so hard. You did an amazing job!

I like the colors, but they are just a little too bright to go with the other ones I've made. They may end up in a lap size or doll quilt.

Roxanne--I love your colors!

Stefanib--beautiful blocks

I like the paper piecing also. I plan on doing that for difficult blocks, not sure I want to do it on everything. It makes blocks so precise and crisp though...hmmmmm

I can't wait till my husband leaves for Scout Camp in about an hour so I can get out my fabrics and start!!!

YAY!

Don't let anyone know that I have posted these--I may be kicked out of the slackers group--I don't know what happened, I was just looking at all the beautiful blocks and the first thing I knew-I was piecing....so on the condition that the slackers not be told that I am kind of on time here are blocks one and two....

But really, I'm still a slacker....

I did my first 2 today, hoping you will let me join you ladies.
I am doing them in civil war prints trying to stay as close to the pictures in the book as possible.

It's official! We have started! I'm working on a king size quilt and want to keep the same time line of 12 to 13 months, so I'll add one block to the weekly total. In this case I have 3 blocks to share. When I find patterns for the new added blocks to add to the books blocks I'll start making those one per week. Woo woo.. Here we go!

I've got 10 blocks almost done. I still need to put the handle on the basket. But I will only post 1 & 2 at this time so I don't get too far ahead. I've been scanning them and putting them into a MS table that I got from the Yahoo group. That not only lets you keep track of which ones are done but also how they look together. The scanning program that I use also lets me crop before the scan so there's no white spaces around the block. I need to learn how to make the pictures on here a little smaller though.
