Help. My center medallion is 23 inches square. The downloads I have are wrong and cannot access original patterns that print page 93 in templates or paper piecing. Back to zero progress. Yes, I do have the book. Maybe it means I cannot do it. Help.

QNS - always check the box that is printed at the bottom of the pattern pages to make sure they are 1". I think the patterns are correct, it is your printer setting that is incorrect.

And not printing the right page. Page 93 does not print out at all. I first printed out all the templates and paper piecing, but apparently the size is wrong and nothing I can do to get block 83 to print out.

Block 83 is on page #103. You have to print the page # - not the block #.

Page 93 is Block 73 Milkmaid's Star.

This is from the Patchwork PDF download, from her site. So it should be the same as yours!

Block 93 is on page 229. I copied my 'pages' from site listed in the book, and pages go from 1-155. Carrie forward the paper piecing, but it does the same thing, pp 1-155. I guess I could continue on the larger size, and it should all go together...which may be the only way to continue.

QNS you can use your center piece. Just don't use the 3" Flying Geese Border. Make a new solid or pieced border adjusted to the size that the finished center block+flying geese should equal. I didn't do flying geese, used print fabric. Don't give up!!

Jeanie your center looks great!! (no notifications again so missed it until today!)

QNS, I agree with Jan that you can just use the center you have. Did you print everything out already or just pieces for the center block? If just the center papers, then doing like Jan said by adding the difference with a solid border to get it to the size after flying geese is a great idea! If you have everything printed you could keep it all to the same size and maybe just not do the outer border? It just depends on how big you want your finished quilt...

Update on me...MRI will finally be next week (had to wait on insurance approval then for available appt). My shoulder is now giving me issues as well. My chiro thinks it is because I have been overcompensating for so long for my thumb/wrist that is what is causing it. I hope so! I basically do what has to be done around the house. Haven't been sewing since I finished up my last RR border a few weeks back. I can't wait to be able to work on something without pain!

So sorry Carrie, that you are in pain. My hips (right one) is very sore in the muscles. Its hard to stand and walk with the pain..
Thanks, Jan and Carrie for the good advice. I will probably continue, since I ran all the templates and paper piecing in the beginning, and all should match the center, making it whatever size it will be. Not ding that work over, so be it.

QNS - I was thinking along the same line as you also. No big deal, the only measurement you will have to change is the the size of the sashings. Your quilt will just end up being larger.
