Pretty blocks, katybob...

I didn't realize how much I like orange until I looked at my stash and saw how much orange was there! Or maybe I just found a lot of cool orange prints? The reds and oranges do jump out of the quilts.

I see a lot more orange used these days, and I like It, and the yellows.

Nope. My tired mind has forgotten a lot of things....songs, fads, and hairdos. Popular song artists, TV shows and radio shows. Food I remember. And love of food remains the same. And so does the waistline...it does not exist now or then!

Jeanie, sure, along with the olive green. It was how the family room was decorated. I inherited the furniture, and tried to do my living room the same, but my husband wanted pink walls.

I'm remembering them in some of the garish knit and crochet patterns... granny skirts, floppy hats, vests, etc. that were so "in". UGH. I wasn't a quilter yet back then, but I did have some of those colors in my bedroom. In fact my room had yellow walls and a brown rug.

Better late than never. Nellie is probably going to be a do over because the dots look crazy and make the block look wonky.

Nice to see your pretty blocks, Pam. I think your Nellie looks fine. When you set it on point you won't even notice the slight 'wonkiness'.
