Mirabelle--your block is pretty...your quilt is going to be so elegant with those roses!! The other quilt you made is great...very masculine. What is the name of the pattern?

"Sigh" from Iowa Mirabelle and there's very little blue in it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful batik quilt.

Carriem it is called Smokey River and was a kit from Keepsake Quilting. I don't normally buy kits, but this one just sort of grabbed me.

Ggal I am a typical Virgo, everything has to be organised, I spent years working in Administration and Finance and my daily planner saved my sanity

I always have a notebook on my desk and plan out what has to be accomplished, write it all down and cross it off when its done.
This week goes something like this
Piece PC blocks
Quilt Hearts charity quilt
Embroider teddy bear blocks
Sew binding on medallion quilt
Start making bags for Patchwork Club's Show n Tell
Piece Dinosaur quilt top
I am continually crossing off and adding stuff, when DH is at work I will sew for maybe 8 hours a day, when he is home it is a lot less. I have 8 charity quilts completed so far this year and hope to get 12 finished by the end of the year

Here is my last block for this week, crossed off my list and as soon as I post this will be sewing binding on while DH and I watch a movie.
Hope you like it

That is beautiful Mirabelle, as usual. I am soooo anxious to see your quilt all together. I know it is going to be spectacular!

Thank you JeanieG, the inspiration came from your Farmers Wife Sampler as I so enjoyed seeing your blocks every week. The idea of using just one fabric range appealed to me. As the end gets closer I am getting to see more of how the fabrics work together and I am loving it..

Love that block, Mirab. The red really adds a spark and your piecing is great, too.
