QuiltE thanks for the recipe might have to try it, I have everything except for the chocolate, I try not to have it in the house, although I have stumbled across DH's little hidden stash

Love the recipe; make one almost like that. More ducks next spring...laying ducks. Love that $6.00 a dozen for eggs. Love to get dozen or two every day, 'cause now I found customers!!

Deep freeze is over flowing, so no kill policy here for ? long. Every one have a very good day...its a new day!!

........ or kill and instead of the freezer ... direct to the oven!
I could eat turkey all the time ... well not quite, as I would still need my beef!!
Customers are good ... cash crop! And maybe they'd like one of those turkeys too?
... reminds me of the Eleanor Burns' book, Egg Money Quilts
Took a break from your Buffalo Chip Cookies ... they've been a hit and I've pretty much tossed in anything I had around. I like the corn flake twist.

MiraB ... What I liked about these were the not so peanut-buttery taste. Just enough to enjoy, but not overwhelm. Found it on the Kraft site.

DublB ... DGS will too! Looking forward to seeing your Cowboy's Star!

Have the whole (almost!) Eleanor Burns collection of books including the egg money quilts. And Maria Mitchell's books and templates. Two medium sized book cases of quilt books, two large sized book cases of cook books.

Small and large freezer in garage that is full up to the lid (half of a beef...360 pounds of it!!) and propane tank is filled, so ready for winter and paying of taxes in December...that last always ruins our Christmas...and prevents us from doing any celebration of the holidays.

Peeled and cored the last tomatoes of the season; had my last tomato and bacon sandwich. Deviled dozen eggs, and put a round roast of beef in crock pot for later. Now off to the quilt room to try again. First time this morning I sat down, took the template pieces out of the plastic bag, and promptly lost a piece of the block without moving an inch!! Then the roof of the school house was sewn on wrong side out!! May leave it that way. Ripped out yesterday on a piece (four times) I finally starched heavy duty to get it to sew in right in Verna's favorite block.

Keeping on smiling and keep people wondering what you are up too!!!

Ggal--like those fabrics! Can't wait to see what you do with them.

I have the house clean and everything thing ready for my retreat...we even got school done this morning! I leave in just one hour. Crystal and I are going early to set tables up, get name cards and retreat gifts all ready...plus to have a bit of quiet time before everyone else shows up starting at 4pm. We have 24 total coming this weekend! Most are scrapbookers, but there a a few quilters too. It started as a scrapbooking retreat, but since I have been quilting at them others have decided to do the same. We have tried inviting some other quilters too, but the weekend just hasn't worked into their schedules.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

You are all too funny....especially you QE...I stopped at the LQS and there I found such a simple block to do for the bonus and I don't even need a pattern for it... I am going to use bits of whatever I have left from the PC and incorporate them into the block. I think I may have found the right color for the sashing...I purchased the brown from Moda and now I don't like it...
I'm going to DE next week to visit my sister...I need a haircut...She is a hairdresser (retired)...I always get eggs from the Amish when I'm in DE ..they are so much fresher and have a better taste then the store bought...I even get the raw milk from them...you know with the cream on top...it makes the store bought taste thin... I feel so much better knowing what I'm going to do for the bonus...I do have some Moda roses for Mirabelle's block...Now I have to go to EQ to make a pattern for the block...part of it will be pp'd. see ya later, H.

Have fun with your sister, H. Fresh eggs, too, joy!! Yes, QuiltE, I may sell a turkey or two on the hoof...(feet) Live. They are pets and are so gentle except with other fowl. Carrie, good luck on your retreat, may it be a good one for you.

Winterizing the house a bit more, trying to stop the wind from blowing in as it has since we moved into this all steel house. No code to meet, so they just put it up in a hurry...9 nine weeks and it was done....By one guy mostly.

All PC blocks are done. Now to photograph, put into the computer file, and do the stashing on the blocks and think about the extended blocks. Finishing gs wildlife quilt, and other UFOs.
