Oh, Jeanie, I love both of your blocks. The ladybugs are cute but the contrast in the block is so pretty. Love the blue & yellow. Yellow gives such a nice accent.

*gasping for air*
Did JanRN just call yellow NICE?
*more gasps*
What is this world coming to?

JeanieG ... ITA ... your Ladybugs are stealing the show here, and the contrasts are perfect. And you did it again with the more subtle star. What a perfect print to use with the B+Y

JeanieG what beautiful blocks, love the ladybugs but I really really love your blue and yellow, what a great combination.
Have you seen the requirements for Bonnie's new mystery??? the only colour I would have enough of is the purples, lime green and aqua just aren't in my stash, I looked and I don't have one piece of grey or black on white. I know I could do it in another colour way but that is where I am stumped, cause if I can't see where the colours go and how they play together I find it difficult to imagine. I will download the instructions and think about it. I really need to get a move on with Jamestown.

Yes, I am doing Bonnie's new mystery "Easy Street". I've downloaded the fabric requirements and have all the colors except (like you) the gray and black on white. There is plenty of time to acquire them. I also picked up the color chips from Lowe's that she talked about. That helped a lot with the colors I had pulled at home. Some were off from what the chips showed, so I pulled them out of the stacks and put them away. I actually went into a fabric store today, and man did those color chips help! I picked up a couple more purples. They did not have a gray, or black on white that I like the "price" of! They were all $10 or more a yard! I don't think so!!! JoAnn's is having a 25% off everything sale this weekend, so I plan to go there. If anyone is interested in the Mystery Quilt, here is a link to Bonnie's Blog. Click on the tab that says "Easy Street", and at the bottom there is a link to her blog (Intro to Easy Street) that has the fabric requirements for the Mystery.

JeanieG I have just finished going through my stash (piece by piece) and I found 3 pieces of "lime" green, 2 pieces that could pass for aqua and a small 6 inch square of black on white, do you think I have enough

Jeanie...I also like your blocks. I do have a question about Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street for you and Mirabelle...it seems like a lot of yardage for the size of the quilt....a little over 14 yards! Does she suggest so much yardage for each color so that there is a variety of prints in each color? I understand a variety in each color is nice but how many would you suggest? I don't have any of these colors in my stash so will have to shop if I do this but don't really want to get a lot more than I really need. I really don't need another project but I do love the colors she has chosen!
