Was supposed to go to QB's and sew today, but a late night visit from a flu bug has struck me down...now have a very sore body..just ate an apple...first food in almost 24 hours. Slept all day and hope I can sleep tonight. Later, friends.

I have spent the night the last couple of nights w/#1DSis in the hospital. I have been thrilled w/how pleasant she has been. They are talking about sending her home in the next couple of days. The wind is awful this evening & she called me to tell me not to come tonight. I was taking a nap & didn't even realize how bad it is. There are sustained winds of 58 mph w/gusts up to 68mph. There is a ton of sand in it. Yup a brown sky! I am not going out in that. I can't believe that #1DSis was concerned w/DM's & my health.

Lots going on around here as usual. So sorry to hear of your flu bug OK. They say the flu shot was not the correct "mixture" for the flu this year and they expect much more illness.

So glad to hear your sis is doing so much better Bev. You take care too.

I finished Clue 6 of my Bonnie Hunter Mystery and am half way through Clue 7. The next step is putting the blocks together. I'm ready for that!!

Sorry about all your troubles, Dublb. Hope everything rights itself soon. Best thing about the flu, Ok, is that it hits hard and goes away quickly.

JeanieG, sounds like progress to me on the BH quilt. I found an aqua and orange colored fabric yesterday. So that is my slow turtle start on the BH. It was soooo much fun shopping yesterday and piling bolts of fabric into the one shopping cart that Carol had in her shop. After I had unloaded the first group, another lady copied my idea and piled hers into it as well. Love being around the patient quilters waiting for their turn to have their fabric cut...no one rushing anyone, just pure enjoyment of their craft.

Sun is breaking daylight in the horizon, so another day has begun; may it be a good one for you.

Hope you are over the worst of the flu by now, OK... I saw a dr. on the local news saying there are 9 times as many cases of flu now than in the past year or two. Wish it would go back to where it came from!

QNS, are you planning to make the BH mystery quilt, "Ringo Lake"? I just finished my top last night, but I may go back and re-do a couple of cornerstones that need tweaking.

I have a stack of sandwiches that need quilting... that's what I need to do next.

Hope you all have a lovely day. Brace yourselves for more cold coming in!

SBG, BH Ringo Lake is on my bucket list but not at the top yet. I downloaded all the clues and keeping the pages together. I like to know what it is suppose to look like before I start in on it. I am finding out I do not like most kits, or stripped fabric or charms, cakes, etc.,or fat quarters. Rather give it my own 'personal' touch and cut my own pieces or Selvage to Selvage cut.

DH has a million and one things lined up for me to do. How many will I do before I rebel????love that guy but he does his own thinking his own way which is not my way.. LOL.
