Lovely job, Givio.

To see the latest from quilter 85 go to http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...o-t288346.html where she has done an animal quilt...Mother and young baby...enhancements on each one and gives close ups of them. Very charming and lovely work. Wows me with detail and skill.

I wanted to say hi to everyone. I just went back to catch up a bit on reading, but I am sure I didn't go back far enough. It is in the 80's today. I have had to stay out of the sun. Me and hubby went to a high school graduation last week, and the sun then did a number on me. It's just how it is. My son and daughter in law have went on vacation this past week, so me and hubby in the evenings have went to their house to check on their two dogs for food and water, and their chickens. I have only been sewing on a quilt I am trying to restore for my brother in law who ask me too. His grandma made it for him a long time ago. She raised him along with his dad. Me and hubby are doing about the same. Nothing much new. Miss all of you. It was so nice going back and reading what all of you have been up too. We have had some thunderstorms. I love the rain, but big thunderstorms with high winds I can do without.
Hugs to all of you, and you all are always in my prayers. Have a great week ahead.

Givo, your blocks are lovely!
OH & June Billy, it is great to hear from ya.
The wedding went well today. The reception was real nice in DSis's back yard. DH cooked some of his BBQ Chicken & there was Ham & Brisket also. OH & all the fixings! I am worn out though. After it was over #2DSon came to the hotel room so we got to spend some time w/him. I miss him the most as he was the last one to leave. Heck, we left him!

Hey Ya'll. I am getting ready to paint my dinning room. We got everything off of the wall & today got all the cups (that had been on display shelves) packed up. I saw an article in the American Handyman magazine about using hardboard taped together instead of a drop cloth. I think we are gonna get some of that to put down & protect my new floor. Means a trip into town first. I also need to get every thing clean. Grrrrrrr I hate cleaning. At least DH will help me w/the prep work. )I really don't want his help on the actual painting as I would just have to redo it when he wasn't looking.

Hi everyone! We are finally back home. We were gone 5 weeks to Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Idaho. We helped our good friends that moved to Idaho a year ago move into a new home they purchased. We did not have WIFI most of the trip, and when we got home about a week ago, I wondered why I had no updates from the Quilting Board. I guess I somehow got logged out of the Quilting Board, and I guess that is why I had no updates. Anyway, we had a wonderful trip and I was glad to see my sewing room again. The little sewing machine I carry in the RV did not want to run very well, and I think it is because it had not been used in about a year. I took it apart and oiled it, then could not get it to fit back together again, so the needle was hitting the edge of the plate. UGH I finally could sew (I took some stuff to work on), and never was able to get the sewing machine back together to sew. I think I'll take it back apart and try to get it back together before resorting to a repairman.

I have gone back to the last time I logged in, and read all the updates. Looks like everyone's gardens are doing well, and the flowers are beautiful!!! My tomatoes that I planted before I left have grown really bit, and the tomatoes on them are a good size, but still green. The blackberry bushes are producing a daily supply of blackberries, and I have had some I could even freeze.

I am working on my UFO's - several quilts that need to be put together, and more that need to be quilted. One of my fabric purses finally started to look really shabby, so I am making a new one to replace it.

Bev, good luck with the painting.... That's something we need done here too, but I just can't bring myself to start.

Jeanie, welcome home traveling lady! Sounds like you saw a lot of different places, how fun! Sorry your machine conked out on you. I'd be tempted to stop by some yard sales and scout for an oldie to sew on in the mean time. Hope you can get yours fixed.

Well, We didn't find any hardboard that wasn't so expensive. The magazine said that it would be around $5 a sheet but it is around $10 a sheet & I would not only need 6 sheets but would have to drive either 55 miles or 75 mines to get it. So I guess I am gonna look into craft paper.
