Well I am able to get here on my phone. I too have been really busy. I have decided not to do the BH mystery till mid Jan or Feb. As soon as I get my new computer from the Mac approved shop I will start saving the clues. I"m working on a very neat machine. A Babyloc Aria. I sure am having trouble digging all the lent outta it.

I've been not well this year and spent a lot of time at doctor's visits and hospital visits. Maybe next year I'll be sewing more. Yes, I look in on the BH Frolic mystery thread to see how the girls there are progressing. I don't want to do the mystery, but will look forward to seeing what block patterns BH has chosen this time.

I had a thankful Thanksgiving, very grateful for my family and all the kindnesses I've received.

I watch for your comments here, and hope you don't abandon our thread. It seems quiet here lately.

I'm giving some pillowcases for Christmas this year. Have you sewn one with French seams, after rolling it up 'burrito' style? They turn out nicely that way.

Hi Givio... yes, that's the way I make pillowcases too. All the seams end up encased nicely.

I hope 2020 is a much better year for you, healthwise.

Bev, are you repairing the Babylock Aria for someone? I love that machine! I got to sew on one at a workshop earlier this year. So nice, and such a nice long harp space. Those upper end Babylock machines are great, tho I wouldn't need one with the embroidery features.

I haven't worked on quilts in several weeks. After spending Thanksgiving at my daughter's, I came home with "orders" for new dresses for my little nieces, so that's what I'm working on. I also have a sweater on the needles for one of them, and then they both need mittens and hats for this cold weather. I'll be busy right up til Christmas. I'm hoping just to get a few charity quilts quilted and call that 'good' for December.

Our baby grand girls are growing so fast! 9 months old now and they hardly look like babies anymore. Seems like they stayed in size 3 months forever, and then jumped right up to 9-12 months sizes. They are pure sweetness.

Yes the Aria is a customer's machine. I have it cleaned, oiled & timed. I have it 3/4's of the way put back together. I had to stop & take a trip to Brownwood to pick up an Elna. (I haven't even looked at it yet.) Once I get the Aria out back together I might need my instructor to help me reboot the computer. I do know that there are some high end machines that have to go through that process. If I need to do that I will be calling my instructor to walk me through that. He's great about that. I am good at following that type of things.

SBG, What about your boom blocks? Do you have a plan for finishing them soon?

Is anyone doing the Merry Mayhem New Year's Eve mystery? If you are on her mailing list (like I am) then you will have got the Step one in your email already.

No... The boom blocks are pretty, but they will wait for a bit. They will be charity quilts, but I have so much work ahead of them. Janice asked for a picture of the blocks all together, and I haven't even been able to get that done yet!

I got the notice from Merry Mayhem... I'm planning on collecting clues on New year's day but then doing the quilt at my leisure (if at all). How about the rest of you? Anyone planning to do it on New Year's Day?

I'm working on the third of three little dresses that I will send off to my daughter tomorrow... for her baby and her cousin, my two grandbabies. No quilting today.

Looks like Ivy is waving 'hello!' :-) What is that fantastic background? Are they decorations at your house, or at a mall, or what?

Cute dresses! In time for the holiday parties.
